Description

The European Day of Languages (EDL) is a time to celebrate the 6,000+ languages spoken in the world, promote understanding, kick-start learning and have multilingual fun!

Everyone can participate and celebrate EDL on the 26 September (or either Friday 24 or Monday 27 September at school) and, with over 45 European countries involved, schools are being encouraged to start thinking about activities for the celebrations.

There are many ways to get involved, including multilingual assemblies, quizzes and links with schools in foreign countries.
