Hi all

Im currently in the process of developing an online store that will serve educational content for both corporate training and more widespread educational uses. As i meet developers to get them on board, it would be interesting to see what you would deem as important features in this store. Features under review at the moment include:

Direct download of software (with option to purchase boxed product too if available)
Option to download demo's
Freeware available to download

these are but a few of the features im hoping to offer but what i am also interested in finding out is what type's of software would you like to see on the store? Pre school games? Business simulations? development tools?

If you also have any examples of terrible shopping experiences you have had online please post them here so we dont repeat them!

Hi Dave,

If your demos were online rather than download based, I'd imagine a lot more would be tested and trialled. This may be a tricky step, but would certainly add value to the site.

that was one of my thoughts, i guess it all depends on how developers choose to distribute their demo's, or if they even choose to submit a demo at all!

The more i think about it the more it seems like the best way to go would be offering demos's to be played through the site, if the developer has an installable demo offer a download link and failing both of those, allow video/image previews.

I want to give developers/publishers the best chance they can get to shout about their products and provide a valuable sales platform within
